This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Trade/Sale forum?

Has theRPGSite considered a Trade/Sale forum for gamers to swap their unwanted RPGs with other gamers? Any demand for this in the past that has been declined?

One of the few reasons I still visit The Big Purple is to scan their sales/trades listings or post when I've got RPGs that I'd like to be rid of. I don't buy a crapton of RPGs annually, but I often end up with a few I consider to be clunkers. Or my shelves get a little too stuffed, and I find myself needing to Spring-clean the supplements that I'm just never going to use in play, or use as inspirational material. eBay and Noble Knight are options, but I prefer to leave them as a last resort.

If not an entire dedicated forum, then perhaps a thread specifically for RPG sales/trades? I don't mean to suggest mimicking anything about TBP... I think it'd just be a nice option to have here.

Please, not a thread. That idiotic "swap your games" thread at RPGnet makes no sense, especially when they do have a separate sales forum.

In the past, there's been no problem putting sales threads in News & Adverts.

I agree; one or the other. It is ridiculous to have both a dedicated forum and a thread in another forum.

If News & Adverts is the right place then that works for me.
