SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

When I force a second line by shrinking the window size, only the top of the second line is visible. This means that the section has a fixed height and the font your browser is using does not properly fit within that height. Which browser?

IE doesn't follow web standards. Apparently, it does not understand that CSS tag.

I found the height limitation and removed it. Should be fine now. Hopefully, it won't screw anything else up.

It was hard to read for some people, so I changed it.

Much better, IMO, without the sharpie highlighting. I'd love to have the like button back, too. :) Sometimes I want to say I agree with something, but feel like posting "I agree" is superfluous.

I don't even remember a like button.

Hey Brett, good job so far, much better performance.

Now can we get all the old smiley's back, especially theRPGsite specific ones?  Preferably the old versions of the standard smileys too, these new ones kinda suck.

not on the old version, but there was a like button for a day or two while the site was up after the upgrade.

EDIT: there's actually a thumbs up/down thingy I didn't notice until now.

To be honest I never saw the point of a "Like" or a "+1" or any of that.

If you care enough about the topic to voice agreement, then voice agreement.  If saying "This!" or "I agree" is more than you're willing to put in, then the value of your input is pretty much useless.

Who cares whether a post gets +1297 or -150. Is that supposed to prove it correct or incorrect? Argue your point.

All any form of "like" does is enable the kind of mass passive aggressiveness and appeal to the "me-too" authority logical fallacy that allows for the type of crowd-consensus that is turning the internet and all of civilization into Freshman Year Forever.

I just added the thumbs up/down system for those who like that sort of thing. If not, just ignore it. (I have to find better-looking thumbs though.)
