SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[Suggestion] A "Thanks" button

I know some people hate the idea of a "Like" button or equivalent, but as long as it doesn't name all the people who liked it, it can be a positive thing. Sometimes someone says something apt that you'd like to applaud, without quoting it and saying "yeah". Not to mention how tedious and flow-disrupting it would be if there were a host of people making similar posts just to say "me too".

Thoughts?

Spinachcat

As long as we can call it a "Hell yeah!" button.

Or instead of a thumbs up, we can have a middle finger icon for liking posts.

But I like the concept.

Blood Axe

I think it should be an "OK" button- complete with the hand gesture.

So I guess the little button at the bottom right corner of every post, showing a quote mark and a plus sign, is not an upvote button then? So then what is it?

Hover your cursor over it and it will tell you that it's for multi-quote.

Thanks. (So far I've only accessed the site from my mobile phone, so I couldn't hover.)
