Silva posts a joke custom move for Dungeon World with a trollface, someone gets butthurt, he posts an image macro, then One Horse Town bans him after warning him...but before silva could act on the warning.

I realize that this thread won't make any difference because OHT is an asshole and Benoist didn't like silva (despite the fact that Benoist trolls harder than silva) but I figured I'd complain anyway.

I'm certainly upset that he's been banned. I've been lining up a crack about him 'liking fucking railroads' for months and now it'll never see the light of day. Ah in-jokes, the most cruel of mistresses.

Silva wasn't the biggest dick on this forum, far from it, but he was still a shit poster. He's the sort of strawman "narrative" gamer that people here rail against; at least Ghost Whistler bought good ideas to the discussion.

11:30 PM: Silva posts a troll face.
01:09 AM: Silva posts a Morgan Freeman meme.
04:31 AM: OHT warns Silva about posting the troll face.
04:32 AM: OHT bans Silva for his 01:09 AM post because it ignored his 04:31 AM warning.

As I mentioned in the thread, either OHT has access to a time machine or he thinks he's moderating RPGNet now (where this sort of shell game is acceptable).

You think Silva's actions have finally reached the point where he needs to be banned? Fine. But have the balls and the intellectual integrity to ban him for that. Because once you've pulled this moronic "I'm totally banning you for a post you made 4 hours ago because it violated a warning I gave you 60 seconds ago" routine, it's impossible to take you seriously when you say that you were actually lying and that you really banned him for this other reason.

Well, Silva obviously couldn't have seen the warning, since he posted both times prior to the warning.

I think the "don't say I didn't warn you" was just Dan making a joke.  I think it's pretty obvious Silva just hit the critical mass of trolling in this thread.

It's funny the OP defending him.  When the author of the game they are both lauding comes in to say "nope, like everyone else says, you're wrong about older versions of D&D, please don't post threads about my game like this again" it's funny that they pretty much ignored him and kept going, with Silva basically imploding once every word he typed in the thread got shoved back down his throat.  It's weird, the tangent he started with Dark Sun DW was actually starting to go somewhere, and he's the one that shit all over it himself.

I like silva despite his trolling, so I'm naturally defending him.  If you're going to ban him for trolling, then ban him for trolling.  Then you should probably ban Benoist for repeatedly threadcrapping.  That being said, I don't appreciate accusations of me trolling because I talk about things I like about Dungeon World.

Well silva'd been warned fair & square that continuing to post in a trolly way About certain subjects would lead to banning and obviously ignored said warning. Not that I got any horses in the race, I got Nothing in particular against silva but I can absolutely see that he had the ban coming.

I know, I'm late to the party (just went through the 60+ page thread, some trolls were arguing about an ape trying to walk among humans on a board I go to, to see the latest in toothpick-counting methodologies...), but yeah, I'm not wild about a banning for not following a warning before it was given.

Can OHT come out and say he was banning anyway, and that the warning was just a joke (since there was no chance Silva "getting it" anyway)...otherwise I'm going to have to agree that yeah, that was a BS banning.
