This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

This may be a dumb question. Or maybe I just missed something obvious.

But I'm wondering: why don't I see my signature on my posts? It's visible on my public profile, and it shows up on my "user cp" page, but when I post on the forum, there's no sig.

Is this a post count issue (I'm at 65) or something else?

Edit: And the vBulletin software just totally made a liar/idiot out of me because for the first time ever, I can see my signature at the bottom of this post!

So never mind what I said: I guess the real question is, why wasn't the sig showing up previously?

I kid, I kid. ;)

Did you just fool around with your board settings in your User CP before you posted this? Because there's an option in there that affects whether your sig shows at the end of your posts as default, or not, and another that makes you see no sigs at all, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe yours had been set by accident to not show by default, either by your own doing or some sort of glitch or whatnot.

I think I found the source of the issue: I added the sig when I reached about 65 posts, but it's only showing up on posts I wrote after I created the sig; it's not being added to my older posts retroactively.

This confused me only because other changes I've made (such as my avatar) were retroactive; it just turns out not to be the case with the signature. Aside from that, everything's working okay now.
