You claimed to a fierce libertarian. If anything, that's how this site skews. The second most represented group is probably liberals, of varying degrees. They often shout at each other. There are others that don't easily fall into either category, but there don't seem to be many traditional conservatives.

You've got the signs of an echo chamber backwards. If there are a bunch of people who are always on your side, that means you've surrounded yourself with people who believe exactly the same thing you do. But if everyone jumps you, the only thing that means is nobody believes exactly what you believe. Just because they disagree with you doesn't mean they all think the same. In the set of all possible belief systems, "not you" is vastly larger than "you".

And if you look at the thread again, you'll notice people who dismiss both your concerns, as well as other posters' concerns about voter ID. Which is a rejection of both sides.
