SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Please give your comments suggestions and flames regarding week one of our little operation here.

Dude : You (and those working with you on this site , ofcourse) deserve a solid platinum medal for this job.
And then I'm not even taking into consideration , there's still some stuff in the works...

I think it is going well. The pickup has been slow, but I think that's a good thing. I would rather see this place build up as an organic board in its own right than be forced into doing so. That's why although I understand Bullitt's attempt to drum up traffic here, I would rather not see a bunch folks come crashing through the doors just because. Let everything build naturally and hopefully we will get a great, open community here unlike any other.

Ditto.

I also think that it's fine not having all features at the start.  It lets us get used to them one at a time.

Ditto!  This isn't Nothingland, this isn't a cheesy ENWorld ripoff -- it is its own thing, and deserves some time to grow.  :)

don't quote me on that.  :)

I love it thus far. RPGsite > ENworld, at least for my purposes.

What they said! I love the place, and hope it continues to prosper!

It's a very well thought out site.  Good work!

ditto about the "let it grow" and progressive access to features.

A really nice start.  There has been  some little things I didn't like but I'm much more focused on what I like so I'm not really worried (plus, most of what could been  solved has been).
I'm pretty sure there will be other things I won't like, from the users or the features or whatever else. But you know what ? This place is useful to me, the admins are really doing interesting stuff to build it and make it pleasant, so I won't be stupid  enough to say "either this place is perfect now for me (even at the expense of everybody else) or I quit".

Most board users (including me) are quite used to be spoiled internet brats. Don't let them ruin your enthousiasm !

Thanks,

Chacal

This is one of the better constructed sites I've seen.  The board looks amazing and so far the community growing here is strong.  Plus for as many users that came here from the demise of Nothingland it's got a distint personality of it's own.

Only good things Pooka.  I complimented you on setup before and I will again.  Everything looks good and I only believe it will grow.

you're doing a great job so far pooka (and everyone else who's contributing to the site's construction). I voted option two, because there's one last bit that I'm really waiting for - the Reviews System. once that comes up, i'm happy as a pig in shit.

Well, I don't know if it's better than Cats, but the place does have a good vibe to it.
