Actually, several people asked for his real name. Those posts were deleted. But Pseudo did not reveal it, he just told people that it was out there.

All I saw was Calithena asking if Pseudo was referencing Pundit's old handle Nisarg, and Pseudo replied with a terse "No, his real name." That's a direct quote in its entirety.

It kinda feels like Pseudo got banned for knowing about whois.net or something.

Wow, what the fuck? I saw the deletions and assumed that he had posted the real name. A rageout of such proportions never occurred to me. I'm a dumbass.

I think two-fishes asked for his real name. In any case, it is Pundit's board. Pseudo has been jabbing at him a lot lately, so something was going to give. Too bad (I did like Pseudo's rpg stuff, it was all his other crap that bugged me).

Well, sure, but reacting badly to being jabbed at on this board and banning someone over it runs a bit contrary to the "Man up and take it" persona that is supposedly a champion of free speech, you know?

Ultimately, it is Pundy's playground, but hopefully he can cool his heels and be big enough to admit that he over-reacted.

As for "all his other crap," there are good reasons not to talk politics on an rpg forum, heh.

I think for some it is legitimate to want to preserve anonymity online or to have a 'persona', pseudoephedrine erroneously called pundit a 'fake persona'. A persona can't be fake by definition. There is something of the panty-sniffer about someone hunting around for an identity behind a persona.

I have to say I thought Pundit's obvious delight at being linked to from Forbes was unmanly.

I was looking forward to antagonising pseudoephedrine for his prissy intellectualising. Maybe the ban will be overturned, is there a precedent of that here at therpgsite?

Yeah, banning people who actually post gameable content isn't a great precedent for a site that is supposed to be about gaming.

Problem was that for every great gaming post Pseudo made, he had two or three outright trolls. Hopefully, he will find another board that he can be successful on.
