Hey,

For some reason I see a bunch of threads as last posted by whatever (you know, the new poster, of "I hate roleplayers" fame), but I can't read his posts.

Also I can no longer read the above mentioned thread started by the same poster (error message says, "Invalid thread specified. Please contact the administrator.").

He is certainly not on my iognore list; I've just checked for this in my User CP and my Ignore List is blank, like always.

Did he get banned or something? If not, can it be fixed?

We might have had an inkling something was wrong when we saw the e-mail address used on registration. I have a feeling it might not be legit!

The update posts I got in my email both seemed to be entirely off topic copy/paste jobs that appeared to be intended to insult/annoy.

edit: meant to add that I'm entirely fine with the posts being killed as spam. :D

I hate Coventry. It's a devilish idea, but I hate the way the posts still flag a thread as unread, but can't be made read because the post is invisible. I don't want to have to unsubscribe, but I'd also prefer not to have to flag the entire forum as read, and those seem the only cures for the glitch.

He has been banned.  We're checking out right now if he's a sockpuppet (seanchai's "revenge"? someone else thinking they're making a point of some kind?) or just a random troll.

For the record, what's gotten him eliminated wasn't the "I hate roleplayers" post, it was a series of posts he did afterwards, mostly quickly eliminated, that expressed extreme anti-semitism, racism (and I mean extreme, in both cases, as in advocating in favor of gas chambers), and seemed to advocate for the violation of underage celebrities.
Those are the kind of things that get you banned really quick here.
