Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Unban Mythusmage

Obviously, it was a horrible travesty to the free speech principle of the forum, that Mythusmage was banned. We after all, have no proof he ever did any of the actions he advocated, furthermore, a lot of posters speak about illegal actions such as drugs, which obviously means that merely discussing an illegal act should not be reason for banning. Should paedophilia apologists be silenced rather than debated in the community?

You may think that banning a paedophile (apologist) was fine, but I implore you - consider this, every minute this travesty of justice occurs, a college kid hangs a Che Guevara poster.
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

Was Mythusmage actually banned for violating his Nambla-like Topic Ban?  I thought it was something else that got him banned.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

I hope so, because otherwise I might be literally hoisted by my own petard, and he could come back ;).

BTW, if you're working your way up to a frothing Free Speech Flameout Ban over this, do it right.  Post an iframe from Stormfront, some hot porn and invoke the Name That Shall Not Be Named. :D

BT?

If you mean my ban - come on, obviously I like this place, or else I'd just leave, not give even slightest damn about it.

I'm pretty sure that Rincewind is somehow trying to compare Milo Yiannopoulos to Mythusmage in this case.
The big problem with that is that Milo was talking about his experiences as a 17 year old moving in with a 29 year old boyfriend, while Mythusmage was talking about his awesome rpg world where it's totally cool to fuck 9 year olds.

But furthermore, Mythusmage wasn't actually banned for being a pedo, or for expressing support for man-preteen love in fantasy worlds. He was banned because he couldn't shut up about it.

As much as I admire Milo and most of what he's done, if Milo should ever come to theRPGsite and not be able to shut up about his RPG where you play slightly-jailbait English twinks in a neverending quest for Mature Black Cock, I would ban him too.

but surely it could be hinted at. at first I was thinking it was pundit's name, but since he uses that quite freely on google+ I cant imagine why it'd be verboten.

I'm pretty sure that's a pseudonym.

So when will be this transgression of justice amended?
