This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

RPGpundit thought it'd be a great idea if I could change the look around, something to signal a departure from Nutkinland. But if there's one thing I learned after running message boards for nearly six years, it's that no matter what color scheme I picked there'd be at least half-a-dozen users bitching about it. So I figured what the Hell, let's duplicate the look of his UruguayanGamer blog.

I don't know what kind of style RPGpundit will end up choosing but if you fellas actually want to help him, be real specific about what it is you want to see.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what\'s on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide.

Well, I'm not trying to be an asshole, but... pink and baby blue? I mean, it's a good Outkast song but it is kind of odd on the eyes.

I know, but like I said they're his blog colors. If I was decorating this place to suit me gawd only knows what you'd have got instead.

I've seen firsthand what you dish out. :heh:

I will never be able to top that Actiongirls.com design.

You know, I liked that design. It's a shame you caught so much shit for it.

the colours remind me of another rpg forum site.

@Set - hopefully if they listen to our complaint, they'll change the colours, and our little rant would look odd?

lets just hope the pundit clicked the "girly" colour scheme button in error.

It was actually Gruff who changed the colours, and you might notice that he changed them to match the colours of my Blog... girly colours my ass :snotty:

Righty-o, then--let's hear some constructive suggestions from folks as to color suggestion, perhaps?

Just personally, I'd say if you were going to go with purple, make it a deep, darker Tyrian or Imperial purple on a slightly biege or off-white background.  That or a midnight blue and off-white background.  Just my two cents from the peanut gallery.

EDIT:  Or the grayscale look.  Love the classics. ;)

I prefer dark colored boards.. black, midnight blue, that kind of stuff. If the board is to be light colored though, I'd prefer it to be muted... grays and whites.

Those are just my preferences.

Settembrini

I vote for doing it in greytones. Keep it like it is, just remove all saturation from the colours.

Loving the my-little-pony look.

My vote as well. If you ever want to fancify it and make it more stylish, there's time for that.
