This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

While I'm impressed with Drupal - it *is* a bit of a pain for users to navigate and will require an extensive overhauling in order to bring into really *useable* shape. So, I'm considering Mamboserver. Anyone experienced with this?

And don't panic - I don't intend to do any massive changes without tests and fair warning.  I'm just looking for public advise on this platform if anyone has any

The link isn't working for me.

But, if you're talking about the Mambo CMS, then I had a site that used it for a while.  I liked it better than any other free toys I found (PostNuke, PHPNuke, etc.).  Even the code seemed a bit cleaner, when I started poking at it.  Anything specific you want to know?

Hi Pooka

Joomla is a mambo splinter that's a little bit more cool, IMO. Worth checking out at least (they have a demo version on the site that you can peek into the back-end with). I've been meaning to start a gaming blog/e-zine for a while now, and did a ton of research and this is what I ended up going with.

I love Drupal too, but darned if it doesn't require literate users. Joomla's a little more user-friendly.
