This is the thread for complaints on the move.
We have moved to the same server hosting //www.nothingland.com
Everyone give a round of thanks to Darrin (Bullit) for allowing it.
I will continue working to address outstanding issues. The largest outstanding issue is getting mod-rewrite turned on for this server. I should have that fixed by this evening.
I have no complaints so far, it seems to be running good. You folks who handled the transfer seem to have done a real fine job.:hatsoff:
Feels faster, the whole thing. Thanks for that!
mod-rewrite?

Front page links don't seem to work: clicking on my review of 45PR leads to nowhere.
modrewrite - It's part of the webserver. I'll try to get a co-worker to help me with this today.

The only things working are home page and the Forums. Everything else gets a 404.

Yes, I've noticed that too. But give Pooka time, folks. He'll sort it out.

No problemo - no one else had mentioned it, and thought I should inform someone. :D

If I go directly to "www.therpgsite.com/forums" it just hangs and hangs and hangs and hangs....
...if I go to the .com and then click on the forums link, it works beautifully.
Is it me, or has space for PMs gone up to 100?
Ditto what V said.
Can't access the blog. Known issue, right?
Known, by me at least. I have no idea about Pooka. I'm trying to catch him. We just have to wait, guys. Unfortunately I know nothing about this stuff, and I don't know if any of the other admins know anything either.

I have basic web design/upkeep skills, but this site to complex for me to even think about doing anything with.
Ok, then let me throw this out here: is there ANYONE in the house who could:
1) make a fucking guess as to why everything other than the forums is fucked?
and/or
2) has the technical knowledge or knows of someone else around these parts with the technical knowledge to fix it?

Being as I work in IT and have worked for a web hosting company and I know vBulletin pretty well I could help.
All links dependent on modrewrite won't work until I figure out how to get it to work. Guys, I'm looking for an answer to this - trust me it's bugging the shit out of me.
All links but the forums are generated by a mod-rewrite algorythm. I'm trying to figure out how to enable it and enable .thaccess files. I'll get it sorted out as quickly as I can, but that's why all non-forum links aren't working at the moment. I'm sorry.
Found the setting - All links *should* be working now. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks so much, Pooka!
You are a pooka among pookas! You rock, dude! :D

You can view Blogs again, but I got an "There appears to be a problem with the rpgsite database" message when I tried to submit an new entry
I got the error transcript - the tables got locked. Will fix this evening.
Can't post reviews...
I've gotten several database errors from what I presume is that. One of the tables became locked. I have repaired it, please try again.
Ok, got another error. Studied the manual a little more carefully. Drupal has to have the ability to lock tables - so I granted that ability to the user account. It *should* work now, please try again. (If it doesn't I will get an email direct from the system. Anytime you see a database error on your screen that's an email in my inbox ;) )
Just posted a blog entry without any difficulties. Thanks Pooka
Props to you for taking this task on, Pooka.
Good work!
Good. Works. Thanks, Pooka!
