Yes, apparently I'm no longer welcome at ENWorld. Did I actually break any rules? Is the presence and attitude of this site so offensive that it is an unforgivable sin to even mention it's existence?

Do I really care? The fact is that Eric Noah had a wonderful community. I really miss that community.

Possibly the best answer to that question that I can think of. Honestly. I think that those egging on the debate made some rather good points, personally - a roleplaying forum which is not afraid of more adult topics and discussion is a good thing, in my book. This is why you'll find me poking my head in here, as opposed to ENWorld.

i think you were judged guilty by association. you didn't do anything wrong at all, as far as i can tell. maybe Morrus assumed that you only started the thread to make trouble. *shrug*

The truth of the matter is that I only started the threat to help drive traffic. Did I start the flames? Did I participate in the thread beyond noting that this is not my site? Did I say anything on my board other than encouraging people to occasionally bump the thread?

edit - OK, I lied. I figure that I might as well post my farewell message to Nut Test.

what the fuck?:eek: now I don't want to read that whole ENworld thread, but if I understand correctly Bullit got banned because he mentioned this site and people got heated in their debate? out of their fucking minds, they are.

no wonder i never post at ENWorld and have signed up for Nut Test, looked around, shook my head and left again without posting a word.

pooka, you got a great RPG site, ENworld can take it or leave it, their loss.

edit: took the time to read the ENWorldtread, and indeed it seems Bullit was deemed guilty by association, instead of being bashed for starting the thread. but reading the thread, what I think summons things best is: different strokes for different folks.

Apparently it's okay for the regulars to pull the stick out of their hineys long enough to bash a board without even looking past the front page, while a swift ban awaits for those who try to call said regulars on such behavior.

I have read that thread on ENW as well as this one and all I have to say is COME ON. They try to say that this site is where the chilren are yet they are going to ban someone for even mentioning this thread. Which site is being immature and childish? Just curious.

I am sorry to the people who got banned from ENW due to this site, but I think if they are going to kick members out for having a different opinion then you are better off some place else (like here

)

To be fair, the reasons of Bullit's disgrace was also, I think, because of the comments #17 and #28 in the SO discussion. They can be interpreted as condoning the rabble-rousers' attitude. But three days of exile aren't that long, especially when you have other homes. I think it's better to not blow this little psychodrama out of proportion...
