SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

If you have a post, you should be posting it as soon as possible. Otherwise, copy it into a text editor until its ready.

Especially on sites that fail to restore what you've typed.
I'm letting you know something is broken that didn't used to be broken, that has wasted a bunch of my time and that will continue to waste people's time until/unless is gets fixed. I'm sorry if you don't know how to fix it or if it can't be fixed by you because it may be a bug in this version of the product which is outside of anyone's access here.
There's a message saying to report problems with the new site. So there you go.
Ya, I know I can use another program to compose posts. I bite myself whenever I forget to do that.

An approval system broke them, which says more about the membership than it does the technology. God wonders how Reddit and ENWorld manage.

Man says to Doctor: "It now hurts when I do this"
Doctor replies: "Then don't do that"

I always edit posts in the forum they're meant for, as I like to see what they look like in their native environment. I also do not always have access to a separate text editor, or such is so cumbersome to use it's not worth it.

Post timeout is just a one line change in the settings from what I understand, but it's been awhile and I may be thinking of a different forum application.

There is no "all day" setting for the post timeout. If you're inactive for 30 minutes, you need to log back in (unless staying logged in).
