Perhaps unsurprisingly, bacon was my preferred snack that night. I was too wasted to risk cooking though, so I just tore into a pack of the pre-cooked stuff and ate it cold--it's not like I could appreciate the minor taste differences all that much anyways. Now, a few weeks ago I was in Scotland and the bacon there was delightful even if I had to extract it off of my plate from between the black pudding and the haggis.
