This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ban CavScout

Like others, I think this request has no merit whatsoever.

Imperator

I will add my voice to the suggestions of Kyle and Aos, Jackalope. Firefox and ignore list are sufficient. Though I find CavScout's opinions comptemptible, I find easy to avoid him if I want to. As other's have said, he seems to have a passing interest in discussing RPGs, so you know the first step.

I see your point regarding RPG discussions, but I think you will find the same elsewhere.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Might I remind everyone that Jackalope got banned from RPGnet for threatening to throw dog shit at everyone who came to a Seattle meetup. If you ban CavScout at this guy's suggestion then this forum has definitely gone to Hell.
"Meh."

Quote from: JackalopeAnd I know it seems hypocritical of me to bitch about personal attacks.

Yes. Pot, kettle, black.

The request to have CavScout banned is bullshit whining from you.

Quote from: JackalopeHas anyone ever seen him reveal a personal detail? Refer to an event in his life? Anyone have any idea how old he is? What he does for a living?

And this is just stalker level of creepy.
"Meh."

And where did I say that Cavscout should be banned ? I was commenting on his trollish behaviour which he continues to engage in on this board.

What's really odd is I am not banned from there...

You didn't, but you were commenting on what you think is trollish behavior. I was just reminding people that the guy complaining (Jackalope) has engaged in such over-the-top trollish behavior (throwing dog shit at those he believes slighted him on RPGnet) that it should be taken into consideration when forming opinions on this matter.

You would be correct if this was about "behavior" and not about "political leanings". If I were acting like Jackalope and attacking with vile all those consevative leaning posters, this thread would not exsist.

No, I was not commenting on what I think is trollish behaviour, I was commenting on Cavscout's behaviour and why this place seems to be a refuge for folks like him. If you want to include Jackalope in this fine.

Why are you trying to confuse this issue? Is it because you dislike CavScout's politics? Is that why you are busy insinuating that he has a history of trolling?

Quote from: Jackalope;264460Eh, I'd leave if not for off-topic.  Days can go by between conversations in the rpg section where I feel like I have anything useful to contribute, and in those days I'd find something else to entertain myself.

The political discussions are usually more interesting to me than the rpg conversations, since I actually have to think in the politics discussions.  The rpg stuff is usually just some variant of "TMNT is cool." or "I hate that game." or some other silly thing.  So many of the threads are just empty-headed.

But yeah, ban CavScout from Politics and he'd leave the site.

Man, what?

You just admit that you wouldn't hang around if you couldn't post about politics, but you think Cavscout should be banned because he's only here to post about politics?
