SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Referrals missing

I just linked on a German forum to a post with an attachement on the theRPGsite, and I wanted to look up how many referrals I recently have to see if and how it affects new registered users. I don't see the referral counter in my profile, and a quick check in a few other profiles doesn't show them up either.

Is this now deactivated, or is there a glitch, or what's up? (If it would be a lot of effort to bring the referrals back, then don't sweat it. It would only help to satisfy my curiosity, not be a life-or-death affair.)

The referral system is currently disabled, although the referrals that were logged in the past are still stored (but not displayed).  I don't know why it was turned off in the first place, I can't think of any benefit of keeping referrals disabled, and it would be trivial to turn them back on.

If an admin doesn't respond to this thread in a day or so, I'll just reactivate them.

They were turned off due to a bug in Firefox. They need to be kept off.

OK then, the accessibility is more important than my curiosity. Thanks for looking, though.
