This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I keep meaning to run an MIB 1-shot for some of my friends based on the movies and TV show where the PCs are rookie agents trying to hunt down a clan of alien bounty hunters...

Who are disguised as squirrels in a college town. You know, standard wacky creatures/plot/weapons and so forth. Definitely have a few gags involving agents' letter codenames:

"I said that."
"No, I didn't say that."
"Don't be stupid; U said it first!"
"ARGH!"

Certainly hand out Noisy Crickets to the PCs, not telling them about the recoil...so on and so forth...

What system would you recommend for this kind of madness? D20 Future or the system for Red Dwarf? Maybe I should get Teenagers from Outer Space...anyone familiar with it?

Well, if you're willing to track down out-of-print stuff, you might consider the Men In Black boxed set from West End Games. I'm told it's pretty easy to get hold of, much more so than their Ghostbusters game.
The only thing I ever believed in the Bible was John 11:35.

I owned the game, but it wasn't a boxed set (it was a product bundle, IIRC, though there was no actual box). Overall it was a good game, faithful to both the first film (and the comic books). I only ran it twice (my players weren't too in to comedic roleplay), but the guy that I passed it off to apparently had a very successful and long-running campaign.

Not without its flaws, but damned if I can remember what they were.  I own it but it's in storage at my Mom's.  Good stuff -- only ran it once, but that's because I have the attention span of a squirrel.

Say, maybe that's how your MiBs can tell the aliens from the regular critters...

I didn't know it actually existed already. Hilarious!

Promised myself not to buy books that weren't actually going to see repeated use. Maybe someday.
