This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

For those of you unfamiliar with the card game, look here:

The creator, Eric Torres, has built a huge background for the card game. Very rich in detail and a perfect background for a roleplaying game. He also shares a couple of maps:

The card game uses character cards that are kinda like archetypes, but no stats or anything like that. Ultimately, I want to use the card game as a combat system for the roleplaying game, but I want to be able to use the character cards during the roleplaying side of things.

I want to run a short campaign where the players can do lots of exploring and discover the different factions of the World of Rynaga, etc...

I'm just at a loss as to where to start. I don't need a complex resolution mechanic or anything like that... Just need enough to fit with the character cards of the card game.

The rules and sampler can be found below, to give you an idea of the mechanics of the card game:

Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).
