This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I tend to go overboard with campaign write ups. Here is our first session. In it:

- a bunch of mortals are tasked with investigating some strange thefts
- turns out there was much more than mere burglary going on, and Exaltations abound

The cast:
 -   Devon - Martial artist. Trained with the Immaculate Monks, often as a practice target since he was so resilient. Grew disaffected by the Immaculate Philosophy and joined an offspring sect named Imperfection of Form. The Imperfects follow much of the same philosophies, and are tolerated by the Immaculates, with their primary difference being that the Immaculate monks demand perfection of spirit while the Imperfects realize that humanity can never achieve that lofty goal and only demand that they try.
 -   Tonic - Guild middle-manager and skilled flame piece wielder. On his days off he often "volunteers" for extra duty as a governmental liaison to Prism Flame. The duties have taught him a lot about the way governments work, and shown him how different large social groups can be manipulated, but only if one understands their underlying goals and mores.
 -   Sejjeto - Adopted son of a self-admitted (albeit not public) abyssal, Sejjeto was prrophecied to have a great destiny at an early age but his impoverished parents couldn't wait for it to arrive and sold him into servitude. But instead of a life of menial labor he found a teacher who expected him to exalt as part of his destiny, and instilled in the young man an appreciation for weapons, armor, and his station as a nobleman.
 -   Raistlin Majere - A sickly thaumaturge constantly being compared to his handsome, likable, and strong brother. Raistlin has severe "why can't you be more like your brother" issues and seeks power wherever he can find it. Currently only skilled in the arts of enchantment, he seeks magical knowledge and knows that he will one day be greater than everyone else.
 -   Hain - In and out of gangs and prisons since an early age, Hain has found his way to Cloaka as a street level thief. His boss, Quiescent Maelstrom, has had him stealing obol and shekel goods for a while, feeling out his skills. But the Lintha captain has liked what he's seen and promised big things, and doors opening that can give Hain the life of freedom he craves.

-----

Session 2, wherein they flee to Chiaroscuro via Heaven (with a short stopover in the Underworld). They also manage to get Ragara Myrunn, Grandmaster of the Immaculate Brotherhood, to explode.

Session 5 - in which they finally start tracking down the manses and artifacts they spent background points on. They find several manses and the session ends just as a self-destruct sequence starts up that threatens to destroy the entire network.

Session 8

This one was truncated by my sleepy brain asking that we change to a game that doesn't require so many of my brain cells*, but in a few short hours they still managed to get both ensnared by and freed from The Infinite Prison.

* We kicked some ass in Castle Ravenloft instead.

The play reports have been moved to a new domain. My tools and generators have moved too. The old site is still up, but I don't have any control over that server so can't say for how long.
