This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Shotgun, Shades, Katana, Trenchcoat, and Chainsaw...

Man it sounds like you've ran into some of the gamers around here.

Chainsaws... I actually know something on this subject.  I grew up for part of my life with a step father who was a logger.  Chainsaws are great at cutting trees and a pain in the ass for anything else.  Plus the chain can break, kick backs are a nightmare come to life if you aren't holding on good enough.  If I were in a zombie survival world I would have one... in my stash for when I'm out in the middle of nowhere and need to get some wood real quick for burning.

Sunglasses... I've seen shooter sunglasses but they are priced beyond my willingness to spend.  Therefore I've never tried them.  Only thing I can see them helping with is (gasp) keeping the sun out of my eyes.

I've never seen any reason to add any specials for this stuff in any game I've ran either.  Although for Kult I cooked up some nasty rules for chainsaws, don't fumble with the damn thing.

My two cents and possibly some pocket lint there.

Yup. Trenchcoats (black leather, of course), sunglasses at night, katanas and, let me add, Mini-Uzis, are just for vampires.

Quote from: Hastur T. FannonA section on what an MRE actually looks like (you've spent entirely too much of you life living off of them, but us civvies have never seen one) with a sidebar on why you should avoid the curry ones.

Chicken a La King/Chicken Stew are to be fucking AVOIDED.  There ain't enough Tabasco in that little bottle to kill the nastiness.

That said, i use to love dehydrated pork patties, so...

the menu has changed so much over the lifetime of the MRE that there's not telling what's out there now.  (i hear they have vegetarian options now...snicker)

back to the topic, T-Willard:  all of those people who emailed you are idiots. disregard. ;)
