This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

You are obviously in with the in crowd, Levi! You made the remark in the first place! Besides, all you have to do is re-define what 'in crowd' means to be 'that group which clusters about Levi, fawning upon him and giving him free beer," and bob's your uncle! :D

You've changed my mind.

I want free beer, instead.

RPGPundit

Let me say once again that I'm STRONGLY in favour and supportive of any game designer who chooses to call his non-roleplaying game something, anything, other than a Roleplaying Game.  Good for them being honest.

Ah, the agony.  The pain of your insult.

But now you both want free beer! And since his checkup, the Pundit wants more than one! :D

All you have to do is drop by my place. I've got a few cold ones in the fridge. :D

The day Pundit and I get together in real life, should it occur, I will insist on going to a Pub before opening discussion.  I will bring several hundred dollars to said Pub.

It will be glorious.

There may or may not be survivors.

I'll be seeing you in late March, Levi. Start saving up.

Will do.

I have to admit, one of the best series of articles about rpgs I have ever read was C.Kubasik's Interactive Toolkit. But I don't really see the point in his distinction. RPGS can accomadate a wide spectrum of systems, playstyles, design philosophies etc. The problem has always been about gamers and not really the games themselves.

David R
