Title: 1930s Grimpunk ttRPG Beta (for those who love Hardcore combat)
Post by: DarkWorldStudios on August 22, 2020, 07:45:16 PM
Hi everyone!

A few friends and I started a super small ttRPG company and we just launched our website and, as part of it, our Beta. It's a large slice of the full game and is fully playable for one-offs or mid length campaigns. We even have 4 pre-generated characters for ease of play.

Our Website: https://www.darkworldstudios.net/

We would love to have some people try out our Beta and give us feedback! We have a bunch of other social media also which can be found at the bottom of our site page. Hope you all enjoy the world and system we're trying to build.

The blurb:

"Acheron is a Grimpunk table top role-playing game where you must sacrifice your humanity to fight against the evils of the world. Mystery, monsters, and magic collide in this 1930s era setting where The Government controls the path of History, Factions war for resources, and The Wall looms forever upon the horizon. Are you another cog in the great machine of society, or will you forge your own destiny in the bustling city streets and ancient places once lost to time as history, for the first time in living memory, can be uncovered once more."

Highlights:

1930's Grimpunk setting: Many people say it feels like Dishonored 100 years in the future.

Classless progression system: Why not be a blind gunslinger?

Simplified Realism/Gritty Combat: We're a Biologist, Engineer, and Anthropologist so we like to keep things feeling as real as possible. This includes getting killed when shot with a Desert Eagle.

Die Hard: Lose a limb to stay alive. It may be a worthy trade.

Sanity: Lose your mind...A little bit at a time...Or a lot at a time! The world is full of horrors after all.

And since we're here, do you prefer gritty, quick combat or the D&D style? It's a question we always wonder about.

If you're interested or want more info please send me a message or comment below. We're really excited about this project and hope others will be too!
